IPL HAIR REMOVAL

SHR IPL hair removal is much like the IPL hair removal that has been around many years and is seen as a safe and effective method to remove unwanted hair. Our latest SHR IPL device is faster and more efficient and pain free !! So you can spend less time at the clinic and spend more time enjoying life with silky smooth legs.

Instead of individual shots with the older machines our IPL scans the treatment area and destroys the hair follicle, there is no discomfort and is non-irritating, this makes it ideal for every skin types.

How long does my hair have to be to have the IPL hair removal?                  Stubble length, Please shave the day before or clipper the day of the procedure. Avoid waxing for 2 - 6 weeks prior to ensure hair is visible at stubble length for the IPL treatment.

Does it hurt ?
No not at all, it feels like a warm stone massage. The hand pieces used are cooled by the inbuilt cooling unit to provide relief.

How long until I see results?
At the day of the treatment your current hair follicle will be killed by the IPL light. You may notice the stubble hairs look frazzled afterwards. It will take around 10 - 18 days before the hair falls out. Your new cycle will then start to come through around a week or two afterwards and then the process is repeated

How many sessions will I need?
This is dependent upon the individual, hair / skin type, the area to be treated, so no exact number of treatments can be guaranteed. The average number of treatment is 6 to 8 possibly 10 treatments. After each session the hair will be reduced, thinned and lightened.

How long between sessions?                                                                                   Usually 3 to 4 weeks

Is IPL safe ?                                                                                                               Yes, very safe…but if you have any medical conditions where you are taking photo-sensitising drugs, roaccutaine (isotrein) or suffer from epilepsy or are pregnant, these conditions are not suitable for IPL.
